The company I work for recently aquired a company that has a partner phone system.

Not being familair with the Lucent ACS systems, how will it react to removing 2 CO lines
without reprograming? It appears that each phone has buttons for each CO line like a key
system.

My experence is with the panasonic KX-T systems.

Thanks

After you remove the lines the buttons corresponding to those lines will
still function. You'll just get 'dead air' when they're pressed.

The question mark will be how the phones are programmed for off-hook
select. If they are programmed for intercom dial tone - no problem. If
you are removing lines 5 & 6 and they are programmed to sequentially
select 1,2,3,4 no problem. If they are programmed to go off hook to
line 5 or 6 and you are removing 5 & 6 every time they go off hook
they're going to get dead air. Their off hook selection will need to be
reprogrammed.

Also of issue is if they are set to use pool lines and the removed lines
are part of the pool. Or if speed dials are set to go out on the
removed lines. Again, selecting those lines will give you 'dead air.'

Hope this helps.

Take care,
Rich
