Someone gave me a Partner 206Ec R4.1 module. I'm not a telecomm tech,
but do electronics tech work for a living. This module has no
dialtone, and I was wondering if there's any chance I can get this
working with a bench repair or am I s.o.l? There is no apparent
physical malfunction on the board, and I'm asking this just in case
there's any known issues or easy fixes for this module. I don't have
any tech specs on this equipment so am shooting in the dark. Thanks
for any ideas!

The "E" in 206Ec indicates that this is an EXPANSION module, it won't
work as a stand-alone system. You need to couple this with a Partner
Plus or Partner II processor, and a 5-slot carrier to make it do
anything.

Thanks a lot! Appreciate you taking the time to reply. I got it
working in a slot carrier with another processor. Someone had told me
it could work as standalone, that's why I thought I had a problem.
Take care!
